While taking in the beauty of Punalu’u Black Sand Beach, Hawaii, I witnessed a unique wave crashing on the lava-formed rock. The water hung in the air with an unexpected heart shape. The ocean had amazingly created a perfect heart wave and the inspiration was sparked to express this beautiful moment on canvas.
